Some people are born to be leaders, some are good employees and some are born to be employers. You have to have all of these profiles in your organization in order to progress and make the most out of your trucking business.

But, you and only you are holding the strings and the key to the company’s overall prosperity and success. So that is why you have to have rules, standards and principles that everyone respects and obeys.
One of those ground base rules should be towards your truck drivers. Other than following the other standard procedures that concern their well-being, safety and legal issues, they also need to be well organized and take proper care of the original documentation and paperwork.
Ask them to always save the original documents that they receive and hand it to you, appropriate team member, on the first opportunity available. Ether on their return from the trip, or send the paperwork through post office, but always and I mean always, handle the original documentation properly.
4. Save POD Documents
Same like my previous paragraph, I can’t stress enough how important saving the original paperwork such as PO, invoices and proof of delivery is. In a well-organized workspace and properly filed paperwork everything else can run smooth and easy going. Can you imagine a clean, nice office where everything and everyone knows their place and tasks? I bet you can! I can too!

That is why you need to make your workplace a second home and a place where you want and enjoy being. One way of doing that is by surrounding yourself with positivity, well-organized files and documents, and keeping track of originals and POD.
