How it all begun?
Charles Henry Robinson in the early 1900s owned wholesale brokerage house in North Dakota, Minnesota. On April 11, 1905, he became a partner with Nash Finch brothers and the first president of the company.
They became a leading wholesale company in the region. After his death in 1909, the control over the C.H. Robinson was in the hands of the Nash Brothers. The company expands in Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
In 1936 the company was divided into two companies C.H. Robinson Co. where the ownership was retained by the employees of C.H. Robinson and the second company C.H. Robinson, Inc. was owned by Nash Finch.
