You know as I look this over I think, “Hmm, am I covering too many obvious things?” I am not sure, to be honest. Because a few of these seem like they might be just that. But then, if you are like me and you take certain things for granted, or you just don’t think about them at the moment (when you should), then this advice’s and tips might be handy for you.
I used to think heaters were just a part of the sleeper or extended cabin truck. Well, ok a heater in your truck is standard. But, I was surprised to find out that not all the sleeping areas had heat! I would be very upset to stop in Wyoming in January to wake up seeing my breath inside the cab. So you got to check on this before you buy the truck.
The good thing is that you can buy heaters aftermarket, if you wish. They can even be found in different places like truck stops and online. But if you are doing any driving in the winter, especially anywhere that drops below say 70 °F (21 °C) you might want to consider a heater. Blankets are nice but they only do so much, and what about when you need to crawl out of bed?
Remember heaters can run anywhere from $300 to $2500, depending on the model, type, and where you purchase them.
