Of all the things I said might be obvious, this might seem to be the most obvious of the all things to consider. Well, it isn’t! You would be surprised just how people don’t think about this until they are woken up by the blazing sun shining in their eyes. Of course this usually happens the morning after you have driven past your max allotted time and are so tired coffee won’t help. Figures!
Curtains are so important, as they not only block the sun, they provide you privacy (or a false sense of it anyway). They keep people from seeing what kind of valuable you might have in your truck. Another benefit is that they can allow you an escape. It might seem odd to say, but you really do need to get your head out of the driving sometimes.

The great thing about sleeper or extended cabin truck curtains is that you can find them almost anywhere. That means you don’t have to use your jacket or scrap cardboard to cover the window to block the sun.
