Buy A Sleeper Truck with A Bathroom
This is one of the greatest things to come to the trucking industry since automatic windshield wipers. No seriously, there was a time when you had to crank the wipers by hand.
Anyway, there is nothing worse than chowing down on a greasy left over taco only to discover it was sitting on the dash in the sun a little too long. Or using empty bottles as urinals, we have all been there, we just don’t admit it.
Well, what would you do? Pull over to the side of the road and run into the bushes? Find the nearest facility with a public toilet? What if you’re in the middle of nowhere on a busy highway?
Would you risk rattlesnakes or poison ivy? What about getting a ticket and fine? After all it frowned upon let nature do its thing in public view (especially if your makeshift toilet was on private property).
So you can truly see the benefit of having a commode in your sleeper or extended cabin truck. However, I must be honest, they are rare. They can be very expensive and they limit the size of the trailer you can pull. Because these are more like an RV, they are very big. Typically you can’t haul a 53 foot trailer; you will be limited to a 48 foot trailer.
Remember, there are actually a lot more truck stops and other rest areas than there was at one time.
