ELD Fact No. 53: If a specific vehicle is used for personal transportation, the ELD wouldn’t document that time as an on-duty driving. An ELD will immediately recognize the difference between personal and on-duty not driving. Thus, it automatically updates status.
ELD Mandate Fact No. 54: When a driver specifies personal utilization, the recording accuracy of position information is reduced to one decimal place, or enclosed by a radius of 10 miles.
