You need to have proper training. Depending on what you’re hauling, that will dictate how often you need to retest. Then you need to have the proper documentation and/or endorsements to allow you to legally transport the hazardous cargo.
10. Documentation is the Key
As a hazmat truck driver not only that you will need to have all your personal training, endorsements, and certifications in order, and not only that you need to have truck labels properly!
And not only do you need to have everything packaged and properly secured but on top of all that you will need to have everything documented!!!!
By that, I mean what the hazardous cargo is, what the safety precautions are, and what emergency measures need to be followed in the event of an accident.

You should have that entire information ready in the documentation, both for an inspection and in the event of an emergency.
