5. Find the Cheapest Truck Stop to Fuel your Truck
One of the truck driving expenses you might have overlooked is the fuel cost. Let me warn you it can get expensive, depending on the price per barrel and world events.
After a while, there are those who would rather own the trucking company than the truck. If that is you, know that there are many already established trucking companies for sale.
Keep in mind that that does nothing to reduce the cost of fuel. So whether you’re the owner of the fleet and you use a fuel card system or a private owner operator, you’re going to want to use the cheapest fuel you can find.
Now, by cheap I mean inexpensive as possible, not bad quality fuel! Bad quality fuel will only cause you more problems later and cost you more to repair. So stick with the name brands, but shop around!
Use fuel optimizer tools and other fuel management systems to lower your truck driving expenses for fuel!
