5. If you Need Loading Dock Receiving Staff, Be Sure There is One
This is just like the guy who went to the rock quarry bought a thousand tons of marble slabs then had to find the right equipment transportation company. Could you image what is would have been like to spend a month dragging this thing across Egypt only to not have enough workers to unload it?
Well, it has happened many times. People will win the bid, find an equipment transportation service, make sure the dock is set-up, the load is secure, and everything else. But, after all that is done, they didn’t arrange for staff to off load the equipment!
There are times when one can simply do it themselves. In case like that it is fine. Other times the equipment transportation driver is responsible for the unloading. But, in many cases warehouses will provide space and everything you need, but they charge added fees for handling the items.
The worst case scenario is that they don’t even have the proper equipment readily available to unload your newly acquired stuff. So, then comes added time and expense. You have to pay extra for specially equipment, for the additional manpower, and even to the equipment transportation provider for the delay.
