15. Trucking Songs – “Big Wheels in the Moonlight”

‘Big Wheels in the Moonlight’ is a song written in 1988 by the American country music artist Den Sales and Bob McDill. It’s performed by Seals and released in September in the same year when was written as a second single from his album ‘Rage On’.

Soon after the song was placed as a number one song on the ‘Hot Country Songs Billboard’ following the other eight times of him being on the list with some of his great songs.

The music video for ‘Big Wheels in the Moonlight’ is directed by Neil Abramson, and is one of the three videos filmed for Seals’ video compilation in 1991 called ‘A Portrait’.

 

16. Trucking Songs – “Truck Driving Queen”

‘Truck Driving Queen’ also referred to as ‘Big Bertha, The Truck Driving Queen’ was one of the many fun trucking songs that came out of the late sixties early seventies. It has been done by a lot of people including Bud Brewer in 1975.

But it was also performed by Jimmy Martin, the Willis Brothers, Moore and Napier and several more. Another version of this theme was titled ‘Flatbed Annie, The Truck Driving Queen’ and performed by Dawn Anita Diffie (but isn’t a remake).
