All Time Top 30 Famous Trucking Songs

17. Trucking Songs – “Mama Knows the Highway”

‘Mama Knows the Highway’ is a song written by Pete Wasner and Charles John Quarto.

It was recorded by the American country music artist Hal Ketchum and released in June 1993 as the third single from his great album ‘Sure Love’.

Soon after, in the same year that it was released ‘Mama Knows the Highway’ was placed as number 8 on the ‘Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart’.

18. Trucking Songs – “Little Pink Mack”

‘Little Pink Mack’ was sung by Kay Adams in 1966 and came off her album ‘Wheels and Tears’. When trying to find full female artist to add to the list there aren’t as many to choose from.

Not that there are many great female singers, but those who make trucking songs. But Little Pink Mack is just that, a cute yet sassy little number. As a matter of fact she is considered the first woman to sing about trucks (none had done so prior to 1966).

19. Trucking Songs – “Truck Drivin’ Son of A Gun”

‘Truck Drivin’ Son of a Gun’ was another great number performed by singer songwriter Dave Dudley in 1965. You’ll see many of his songs have made the list.
