All Time Top 30 Famous Trucking Songs

22. Trucking Songs – “Freightliner Fever”

Yet another great truck driving song performed by the great Dave Dudley. ‘Freightliner fever’ was released in 1980 on the album ‘Interstate Gold’.

It had previously been performed by several other artists as well.  This includes Boxcar Willie among other great musicians.

23. Trucking Songs – “Keep on Truckin’”

I know I used several of his songs, but Dave Dudley was the voice, and perhaps still is the voice of the trucker and being out on the open road. ‘Keep on Truckin’ was released in 1973 from the album with the same name, ‘Keep on Truckin’.

Now this song is not to be confused with Eddie Kendrick’s ‘Keep on Truckin’ also released in 1973. As they are clearly not the same song, nor the same genre, but there are some that might think this version belongs on the list as well.

24. Trucking Songs – “Truck driver’s blues”

The song ‘Truck driver’s blues’ is written and released by Ted Daffanin in 1939.

The famous country music historian Bill Malone at one time said that, “Six Days on the Road” is not the first truck driving song and that actually “Truck Driver’s Blues” by Cliff Bruner which was written and released in 1939, could be the very first driving song.
