Proper truck maintenance is the key! The advantage to a regular maintenance schedule is that your vehicle will be kept in proper working order, barring anything unforeseen. With any piece of equipment, vehicle, truck, or trailer comes the standard items that wear out over time. Breaks and/or tires, for example, need to be checked regularly. This is also a safety issue as well as a mechanical issue.
You would be surprised just how much you can save in diesel truck repair cost just by following a good maintenance schedule. Replacing tires as they wear out is far more cost effective than waiting until they blow out. Typically this happens at the worst times, while the truck is the farthest away from any service center.

This goes directly with what was already said, in regards to diesel truck repair and cost. You might not like the idea of spending a few hundred dollars on a tire, especially if you think it still has some life in it. Wouldn’t you rather pay on your terms, keeping the diesel truck repair cost low? Or would it be better to wait until you have to pay tow truck fees, possibly tickets associated with unsafe operations, and having to explain to your customer why their freight will be late?
