2. While Checking, Don’t Overlook The Lug Nuts
I know, I know. It sounds funny to say that. But of all the times you check your truck tires, how often did you physically touch the lugs? Make sure they are all there and tight. Believe it or not a lot of issues can arise from lose lug nuts.
It can increase the wear and tear on your truck and trailer tires, a loose tire can cause the vehicle to shake and even your brakes might not work properly. Or even worse your whole tire might come off and get flung into oncoming traffic. They truly are a safety concern.
When you check them make sure they are tight and done so correctly. Look for rust, cracked or missing lugs. A loose lug can cause the bolt hole to actual widen. Check the rims and stems while you’re at it. Rust can be a sign of a much larger problem so be sure to have that checked.

3. Remember To Test Your Brakes
Brakes are a major part of your vehicle’s system. With them, how do you slow or stop? People don’t like to test them because it is too time consuming. It requires the driver to not only check the peddles and such inside but to physically inspect the brakes. This puts you out in the weather and increases the chances of getting you dirty.
