Fleet Fuel Card Comparison – 10 Best Fuel Card Services

Pros and Cons

Each of the CITGO cards is backed by ’round the clock customer service and they offer:

  • Free 24/7 account access and management;
  • Mileage and tax reporting;
  • Driver ID capture;
  • Expense controls;
  • Limited fleet reporting.

When you visit CITGO’s website, you can find a store locator and trip planner which shows the amenities offered at particular stations but does not allow sorting by features offered. They also have one iOS and Android application called Club CITGO and for drivers using the CITGO Fleet Universal Card I will recommend the WEX fuel finder app.

As everything else in life, CITGO fleet fuel card services have its own pros and cons. As pros I will mention the low barrier of entry for small business, and the good support and account management as well as the excellent coverage you can get with the CITGO Fleet Universal card.

The only two cons that I can think of right now are that CITGO Fleet Card isn’t particularly full-featured and its lack of a proprietary fuel finder application CITGO.

8. Speedway Fleet Fuel Card

Even thought Speedway began only as a small chain of filling stations, in 1950s they underwent big growth when they were purchased by Marathon Petroleum.

Today the company exists as an owned subsidiary of Marathon and operates almost 2,800 locations in 22 states. Recently they had series of acquisitions including GasAmerica (now converted to the Speedway brand), Hess, and some of the Road Ranger locations.
