Think about it in obvious terms. You got your CDL; you took your hazardous materials test and got your appropriate endorsements. Why do you think all of this was necessary?
It is because your cargo is dangerous. Not only that but if there is an incident you’ll be the first one there to take appropriate measures and to inform the authorities on how to handle it.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been around class 8 trucks and large vehicles! Some drivers think that just because they had long miles under their belt, they do not need the hazardous material test and the endorsements!
Well let me tell you, this is far from the truth! You will never know how to deal with that kind of situations because reading about it on the front page of a news article or watching it on the breaking news is one thing, and surviving it and being there in the middle of the happening is something else!
