3. Step Three: Keep Your Driver’s License Clean
Although I have chosen to put this as third step on your way of becoming a truck driver, still I do think that it is of crucial importance; it is of the same importance as is the step one. Why is that so?
Well, I’ll start with the fact that, you can become truck driver only if you have a clear driver’s license. So, step three and step one have the same weight. You will have to remember this step, because otherwise you can find it out on the hard way.
Almost all trucking companies in the USA will reject your job application, if you have too many tickets or accidents in the past five years (it’s in the past five years minimum).
Thereupon, don’t put yourself in the situation to face that kind of situation. Just stay focused while driving, follow the rules and regulations, and keep your driver’s license clean.
Just keep in mind that having a driver’s license is a privilege! Know that if you bobble up some things it can be taken away easily. In fact the CDL driver’s license can be taken away from you easily if you don’t comply with the rules and regulations, because it is held to a higher standard.
