Company Female Trucker

If you decide to pursue a career as a company truck driver you must consider the fact that 95% of drivers will be male. Therefore, it is most probable that even your trainer will be male.

It is not easy to find a female trainer or even to meet an experienced female driver that can answer all detailed questions you might have. So, make sure you do make a research and decide if this is what you really want and would feel comfortable to work in.

Similar to the owner-operator truckers, the company truckers’ average age is also 55.

Most of them are OOIDA members for approximately 7 years; they are dry van or reefer drivers.
