Less than truckload is a type of freight transportation that is great for small businesses. It takes goods from several different companies and they pay certain amount depending on the amount of goods and the length of the shipment.
But, basically, companies share the transportation among them. If you decide to be an LTL truck driver you will be making many stops to different shipment addresses as well as unpacking and packing their goods. It does take longer but companies save money.
So, when they do not depend on the delivery time they choose LTL transportation.
You as a female trucker have to be especially careful not to mix the goods from one company to another as well as to deliver on time. This requires very good organizational skills and focus.
