I said this earlier but let me repeat it.
Make sure you and all your passengers (especially children) are properly buckled up. Don’t let them climb around and horseplay. This can cause a major distraction. Too much noise and movement can cause an unnecessary distraction.
Keep your vehicle clean. Don’t have things like tissue boxes on the dashboard. In the event of an accident these things can be hurled right into your head.
Try to have a trash bag and place empty soda and other containers in there. The last thing you want is a bottle rolling under feet and blocking the pedals. Also keeping your vehicle tidy will help prevent possible projectiles if you were in semi truck accidents.
Something else to consider is to always keep your windows and mirrors clean. It won’t help you if the truck mirrors are clean, if yours are not!
Keep your field of view clear; resist the urge to hang things from your rearview mirror. Make sure your mirrors are adjusted and positioned properly.
