I have to mention that the future autonomous trucks don’t take humans out of the picture they actually require human presence. Truck drivers are doing stuff like maintenance, monitor vehicle activity, loading, also manual driving out on the highway or in if it is necessary to avoid something on the route. The driver is more decision maker than active truck driver

The important thing is that with future technology other trucking support job positions will be created and opened like tech support, system maintenance, map update departments.
Of course, this will not happen overnight, but… technology will get better and better, jobs eventually will change and new skills will be required.
