Just like you should not eat just before hitting the hay, you shouldn’t drink caffeinated beverages before trying to go to sleep. After all, caffeine it’s a stimulant. There are a few among us that aren’t affected by this (they are rare do). The rest of us either don’t know it, or won’t admit it. But the worst thing you can do is to drink coffee and then go to bed! You’ll have trouble falling asleep and will have a restless night’s sleep.
26. Truck Driver Health – Cut Out The Light And Noise When Sleeping
I know there are some people who can’t sleep in total complete darkness. Heck, I am one of them! There are others who can’t sleep without some kind of background noise. But the best thing for getting good sleep is have it as dark and quiet as possible, or at least as you are comfortable. This helps the brain to naturally switch to ‘sleep’ mode. Getting good rest is one the most important things a driver can do.
