29. Truck Driver Health – Don’t Forget To Stretch And Move
Stretching does a lot for you. It release tension and helps to reduce stress. You don’t need to be a yoga master to do a few simple stretches and you can do it in your sleeper if you want. Hold each for 15 to 25 seconds and stretch you whole body. Start at the top with your neck, shoulders, chest/back, arms, wrist, hands, torso, legs, ankles, and feet. Don’t forget your fingers and toes. It doesn’t take long to stretch and your body will thank you.

30. Truck Driver Health – Walk, Run, Swim But Get Out Of The Cab
Stretching is very important but so is exercise. You don’t need to become the next Mr./Mrs. Universe but you should move around. Walking for just 20 minutes several times a week can great benefit your overall health and fitness. If you are a jogger or a swimmer there are plenty of places you can get some laps out. Just making a few laps around the parking lot will do a lot for you.
There is a group on Facebook named Truckin’ Runners. They encourage drivers to exercise and share some really useful truck driver tips and bits related to the truckers. Check them out!
Here is a video from the TMC Transportation company driver Bryan Celestine, who speaks about how important and beneficial, is to maintain good shape and exercise. Furthermore he says that maintaining healthy lifestyle as an over-the-road truck driver it’s very much possible and achieving.
31. Truck Driver Health – Maintain A Good Posture
You mother knows best and usually she does/did. We have all been told, “Sit up straight”. Well proper posture as does help improve your health and reduce stress. You should try to sit up straight, without slouch your shoulders. Try it, it might be natural but it actually does make you feel better, doesn’t it?
