I mentioned that most of the girls are drug abusers and the drug can be used as a manipulation tool to force them to do whatever you want. But … sometimes these girls can’t bear the pressure so they decide to take other measures. One way or another end is tragic.
Everyone that is included in the truck stop prostitution process can end up is some ditch. As I mentioned the truck stop prostitution has many layers and participants and only one thing is enough to go wrong and the story will end up tragically.
• The girls that are in this business are many times victims of violent behavior
• The truck drivers that are part of this behavior are victims of robbery

Case U.S. vs. Scott in 2004. 13 years old girl S.H. escaped from home and while was on the street one car with a man and a woman inside approached her offering her drugs and alcohol and a promise that they will take her to a party if she gets in the car.
The man and the woman told her that they are going to Oklahoma City and it is not a problem to get her there. Instead of Oklahoma, they took her to Amarillo, Texas forcing her to work as a prostitute in a truck stop.
Truck stop prostitution with a supervisor behind requires high quotas of $500 to $1000 per night. The girl was forced to work from 9pm to 3am and for those 6 hours, she was forced to make $1000 and that was the only way to save herself from further humiliation and abuse.
Scott was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Another case is when a truck driver call NHTRC when he noticed few very young girls offering commercial services in one truck stop in Arkansas. In that same truck stop, he was a witness of many situations where grown women were offering commercial services to the truck drivers that were parked on that lot.
That was nothing new for the truck driver but however, in this case, something was strange. Those three teenage girls that were offering their services to the truck drivers were too young.
