Other Common Trucker Codes
There are so many trucker codes out there. The list with trucker codes is endless. Here under are few more trucker codes that are used very often:
- 01 – The first pick up or stop location
- 02, 03, 04, etc. – refers to the order of scheduled stops
- 4-10 – to see if they are in agreement or the transmission was received
- 5 by 5 – refers to being able to hear the transmission perfectly
- 5 by 5 indicates that you can hear another CB broadcaster perfectly.
- Wall-to-wall (or tree top tall) – a very clear and strong transmission
- 10-4(or simply 4) – understand or acknowledge (also as an agreement)
- 10-6 – stand by or busy
- 10-7 – Out of commission or service
- 10-8 – back in service
- 10-9 – say again or repeat the transmission
- 10-10 – not broadcasting but still listening
- 10-20 (usually just 20) – refers to the location (either yours or theirs)
- 10-33 – some kind of emergency

- 10-51 – travelling your way, heading to you
- 10-100 (polite) – bathroom or restroom break (number 1, urination)
- 10-200 (polite) – bathroom or restroom break (number 2, bowel movement)
- 10 In The Wind – refers to just listening to the CB
- 99 – the last load or stop location
- Affirmative – means ‘yes’
- Angry Kangaroo – a truck with its lights out
- Bear Bait – refers to a speeding or erratic driver
- Break, Breaker – signal that you wish to transmit
- Choke and Puke – refers to a full service Truck stop
- Copy That or Copy – an acknowledgement that you understand
- Cotton-pickin’- when upset but don’t want to cuss
- Double-Nickels – refers to the posted 55 mph speed limit
- Eat ’em Up – refers to any restaurant.
- Flag in five mile wind – refers to the posted 45 mph speed limit
- Green Stamps – refers to cash money
- Go-Go Juice – refers to Gasoline or diesel fuel.
